Orders and prices
- All prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax, which is added at checkout where it applies.
- An order is accepted when we send you a confirmation, not when you submit it.
- We may correct pricing errors and cancel an affected order with a full refund.
- We may decline an order where the delivery address is outside the United States.
Product descriptions, capacity and weight
Capacity in litres is measured with the main compartment packed to the closure and may vary by about a litre between production runs. Empty weight is given to the nearest tenth of a pound. Stated laptop sizes are the largest that fits comfortably, so a machine at the top of the range with a thick case may not go in.
The size calculator
The litre calculator on our home page is a general guide based on typical loads. It is not a guarantee that a given bag will hold your particular items, and it is not a fitting service. If the decision matters, send us your list and we will check it against the bag.
Airline carry on
Where we describe a pack as carry on sized, that is against the standard US domestic allowance at the time of writing. Airlines change their allowances and gate agents measure differently. Check your airline's stated dimensions before you fly. We are not liable for a gate check fee.
Load limits and safe use
Do not load a bag past its stated capacity, and do not use a backpack to carry a child, an animal or anything sharp and unsheathed. Overloading distorts the strap anchors and voids the warranty. For students, medical guidance is generally to keep a loaded pack under about 10 to 15 percent of body weight, and we will happily help you pick a lighter bag to help with that.
Customs information
Country of origin and customs classification codes are recorded against every product. If you forward a bag internationally yourself, that information is available on request.
Payment
Payment is taken in full at checkout through the payment methods shown on the store. Orders are confirmed once payment clears.

Your account
If you create an account you are responsible for keeping your login details private and for activity that happens under your account.
Liability
We are responsible for supplying bags that match their description and are free from manufacturing fault. We are not liable for damage to the contents of a bag, including laptops, cameras and phones, however caused. Insure valuable equipment separately. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version published on this page at the time you order is the one that applies to your order.
