This policy explains how cancellations, returns and refunds work at The Daily Load. If anything here is unclear, ask before you order.
Cancelling an order
You can cancel for a full refund any time before the parcel is collected by the carrier, which is normally the same or next working day. After that the return terms below apply.
60 day returns
Send a bag back within 60 days of delivery and we refund the item price in full. We give 60 days rather than 30 because you cannot tell whether a pack suits you in a week. To qualify:
- It must be clean, unmarked and free of pet hair and smoke.
- All tags, clips and included accessories must come back with it.
- Return shipping is charged at our cost, usually $8 to $18 depending on the size.
- You can carry it. Loading it, wearing it for a day and deciding it is wrong is exactly what the 60 days is for.
What does not qualify is a bag that has been away on a trip and come back scuffed, or one that has been washed in a machine.
Three year warranty
We warrant zips, seams, buckles, straps and frames for three years from delivery. If any of those fail in normal use we repair the bag, send the part or replace the bag.
Separately, we post free replacement buckles, sternum clips, strap keepers and zip pulls for the life of the bag, warranty or not, with no receipt needed.
The warranty does not cover:
- Fading, scuffing and general wear. A bag that gets used will look used.
- Leather that has dried out or cracked from being stored wet, in direct heat, or without treatment.
- A bag loaded well past its stated capacity, which distorts the strap anchors.
- Water getting in through a zip. Zips are water resistant, not waterproof, and only the roll top packs are rated for sustained rain.
- Damage from machine washing or tumble drying, which separates the coating from the shell.
- Airline handling damage. Claim that with the carrier, and we will help with photos and specifications.
How refunds are paid
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 3 working days of the bag arriving with us. Card refunds usually show within 5 to 10 working days depending on your bank.
Starting a return
Email davidgoth702@gmail.com with your order number. We reply with a prepaid label and deduct the shipping cost from the refund, so you do not pay anything up front.
