Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information The Daily Load collects when you use www.thedailyload.store, why we collect it and what we do with it. It covers orders placed on our store and enquiries sent to us by phone or email.

Information we collect

  • Order information. Your name, delivery address, billing address, email address and phone number.
  • Payment information. Card payments are handled by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Device information. Standard web data such as your browser type, IP address and the pages you view, collected through cookies and similar technology.
  • Messages. Anything you send us, including the height and carry details you give us when you ask for a recommendation.

How we use it

  • To take payment and get the parcel to your door.
  • To contact you about a delivery, a spare part or a problem with an order.
  • To answer a sizing question and keep a record of what we advised.
  • To keep the records required for tax, accounting and warranty claims.
  • To improve the store and understand which pages are useful.
  • To send marketing emails, only if you asked to receive them. Every one has an unsubscribe link.

A note on the details you send us

When you tell us your height or what you carry, we use it to recommend a bag and nothing else. We do not build a profile from it and we do not share it. If you would rather we deleted the message once the order is settled, say so and we will.

Who we share it with

We share only what is needed with the services that run the business: our ecommerce platform, our payment processors, our delivery carriers and our email provider. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where the law requires it or to protect our rights.

Cookies

Our store uses cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences and measure traffic. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the store may stop working.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as we are required to keep them for accounting and warranty purposes, which for a three year warranty means at least seven years from the order. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Virginia residents have these rights under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, and we extend the same rights to everyone. Write to davidgoth702@gmail.com and we will respond within 45 days.

Children

Our store is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. Parents order student backpacks on behalf of children, which is fine, but the account and the details should be the adult's.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the business changes or as the law requires. The version on this page is always the current one.
